5	Q: Why should I purchase umbrella with lights?
	A: It will add illumination and beauty to areas ordinarily dark and unused. Nothing is more convenient than to have a built in lights in your umbrella when you need beautiful accent illumination. It saves the cost for adding another patio light, and the consumer can use the lights for their Spa, BBQ Island and just any old rainy day.

6	Q: How many sizes of umbrella has Shade Depot? How many of them feature a lighting system?
	A: Our Umbrellas are available in 9’ market umbrella and 8’ & 10’ Square sizes in side post. Lighting is available in most of our models: 9’ Oasis, and 10’x10’ Newport side post.

Frames:

8	Q: What is Powder Coated?
	A: A sealing treatment by which the aluminum frame is protected further against corrosion. Wandatech uses only the best powder coating for outdoor purposes, unlike many others featuring indoor only powder coating that may exhibit a fading color in as little as a month.

9	Q: What is PU (Polyurethane) coating on umbrella frame?
	A: It adds both Durability as well as an attractive finish to the surface. The coating makes our umbrella a nearly maintenance-free product.

10	Q: What is EZ trigger tilt?
	A: A fingertip control mechanism which allows for remarkably simple ease-of-operation in raising and lowering the umbrella. This is one of the best designs in the market and allows the consumer to tilt to multiple angles with one hand in only a few seconds. Consumers may use the tilt to block the sun, reduce noise or for peaceful privacy.

11	Q: What is “Pistol grip tilt mechanism”?
	A: This is the most advance design currently on the market. On our newest model, the Milano, we relocated the tilt handle to the back side of the main post allowing for easier access and a smoother operation. See specs. for details.

12	Q: What is Double top (deck)?
	A: A second canopy above the main to better allow for circulation. This helps not only in ventilation for air and heat, but also, stabilizes the umbrella in case of gusts.

13	Q: What is ‘ribbed’ or ‘channeled’ rib? Why is it better?
	A: The ‘creasing’ or ‘indentation” of metal parts greatly increases their ability to support weight and stand up to harsh weather conditions.

14	Q: What is “built into ribs”?
	A: Each rib is designed to cradle the LED lights, while still making any replacement simple and easy. All our lights are protected from most adverse weather conditions, and also have a very clean, stylish look.

15	Q: What is Foot Pedal Rotating base?
	A: A patented item, it allows for the easy 360 degree swiveling of the canopy while merely depressing the pedal and, when released, the instant braking/locking mechanism secures it in place. Simple and easy to use.

16	Q: How to maintain the aluminum frame?
	A. The umbrella frame may be rinsed off with a hose. If soap is needed, use a mild soap with a soft sponge. Rinse the umbrella thoroughly. Any auto polish may be used on the frame to help protect the frame from the elements. See under “Technical” “Care & Maintenance” for detail.

Fabric (Cover):

17	Q: What is Sunprove Olefin Fabric?
	A. Sunprove Olefin fabric is a Taiwanese made, 100% solution dyed Polypropylene fabric with premium PU coating, approximately 6.5 oz/per sq yd. Sunprove Olefin fabric is a woven texture, lighter weight fabric with a course composition that is highly durable. Sunprove fabric will retain its color for 1 years at the very least, depending on daily sun exposure and intensity. As an umbrella canvas, Sunprove has many of the same characteristics as Polyester & Acrylic. Sunprove Olefin is abrasion resistant, stain resistant and easy to clean. Much like other synthetic fibers, Sunprove absorbs very little moisture. This fiber is quick drying. The PU coating treatment on the surface provides the extra water repellent feature that most fabrics just “spray” on surface only. The PU coating is able to withstand stronger water pressure than the popular Scotchguard treatment that is used in the sofa and cushion industry. However, Sunprove is one of the best value fabrics and maintains its color characteristics longer. One Year warranty

18	Q: What is the PU coating on fabric? Why is it better?
	A: Durability. It makes the canopy virtually impervious to outside weather conditions and sunlight. It also provides a Water Repellent feature that blocks the rain or snow, and makes cleaning easy.

19	Q: Is it easy to Clean?
	A. Yes, It is very easy to care & clean. Fabrics should be cleaned regularly before substances such as dirt and food particles are allowed to accumulate on and become embedded in the fabric. The fabric can be cleaned without being removed from umbrella frame by simply brushing off any loose dirt, etc. and cleaning with water and a mild soap solution (no more than 100 degrees F). Our recommend cleaning solution for most stains consists of 0.5 ounce of antibacterial dishwashing liquid to 22.5 ounces of water. Spot wash by sponging briskly with a soap solution of mild soap in lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap and air dry. For stubborn stains or suntan lotion, use a fabric spot remover. Follow directions on container. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, and air dry. Synthetic fabric does not promote mildew growth. However, mildew may grow on dirt and other substances that are not removed from the fabric. To clean mildew stains, prepare a mild solution of one cup bleach plus two caps full of a mild soap per gallon of water of water. Spray on entire area and allow to soak in. If necessary, scrub vigorously with a sponge or clean rag. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and Air Dry.

Electrical & Lights:

20	Q: What is the ‘Moon’ (Center) light feature?
	A: A central globe containing a 2 way (high-low) light for illumination or soft glow. The globe is right beneath the center lower hub.

21	Q: What is the ‘Star-Lights’ (Rope lights) feature?
	A: Another of our patented designs. Our Rope-lights are encased within the ribs of the umbrella providing a delightfully warm, ambient glow.

22	Q: What is LED? What is its advantage?
	A: Light Emitting Diodes use quartz technology to ensure a virtually trouble free and thousands of hours more illumination than standard filament bulbs. There’s no filament as regular lights to burn out.

23	Q: What is Solar umbrella?
	A: A lighted umbrella powered by the sun. It charges its’ solar panel by daylight and powers the LED lights for 6-7 hours at night. We have more Solar Cells than anyone else in market and features more batteries for longer enjoyment time. It also features 3-way power source, Solar, 110/4.5V and battery operated. This is one of the best design and first of its kind feature.

24	Q: What is UL/CE approved and why it is so important?
	A: These Laboratories certify that the electrical devices used in our Umbrellas match or exceed the U.S., Canadian and European Governments standards for safety and performance. We are currently the only one in our industry features UL/CE approved Indoor/Outdoor transformer and water resistant outdoor cable.

25	Q: Why is Low voltage better than high voltage on our umbrellas?
	A: Low voltage is always safest near any water, reducing shock value to nil. Wandatech is concerned for consumer safety and features only low voltage for all our outdoor products.
